This is a great, simple to use app that works perfectly and really aids in finding chords, scales, everything you need. The coolest thing I've found in the new version is the ability to move the note dots from on the frets to in between them.
Nothing but good things to say about Fretboard! If you play guitar, it's a no-brainer to install this.

In terms of functionality, this is a phenomenal application - I have never seen such a wide variety of chords, scales and tuning offered by any similar application, and it is so full of information there can be no paper equivalent. The on-screen appearance needs some modernisation, though: the display appears cluttered, being solely black text and graphics (some subtle colour and use of high resolution where available would work wonders), Preferences volume settings are ignored (the notes played are always at the loudest setting) and a less harsh note sound would be worthwhile. On the plus side, although some of the dropdown lists offered are extremely long (several screens) they are well arranged with the most likely choices put first, and the program usability in this and similar situations is well thought out.

    Love FretBoard.

I've been playing classical guitar for, well, close to 40 years, and I never had the fret board laid out so clearly in my head as this delightful little program did for me in a very short while!

I have used this program EVERYDAY since I downloaded it...NO GLITCHES on the Visor Pro. I use it for bass and guitar. I am (after nearly 7 years of playing) finally decyphering those modes and scales that look good on the posters in my music room, but never worked on my fretboards.
    AND IT'S FREE!!!
Don't pay for a headache, just download FretBoard!

Aaron, in the menu you will find the two functions "Swap Nut" and "Invert strings", so you can have the screen layout any direction you want. No more turning upside down and backwards of the device itself...
